On 11 April 2026, an entrepreneur delegation from the Water Saving and Water Treatment Branch of the China Industrial Energy Conservation and Cleaner Production Association (CAIECPA) visited the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI) in Singapore for an exchange visit. The delegation was warmly hosted by the team of Academician Prof. Wang Rong, with the participation of SNANO, a Singapore-based membrane technology company incubated by Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

During the exchange session, Prof. Wang Rong presented an overview of Singapore's research landscape and innovation practices in membrane technology, water environment management, and water resource recycling on behalf of the Singapore side. Mr. Zhang Qianli represented SNANO in sharing the company's progress in membrane technology commercialisation, industrialisation, and application development.

Both parties engaged in in-depth and constructive discussions on membrane technology innovation, water treatment applications, industry development trends, and opportunities for future collaboration.

Following the session, the visiting delegation toured the Singapore Membrane Technology Centre (SMTC), gaining a detailed understanding of the Centre's development history, research platform capabilities, and representative achievements.

This visit further strengthened mutual understanding and trust between China and Singapore in the fields of membrane technology and water treatment, laying a solid foundation for future collaborative research and practical industrial partnerships.
