Project Overview

This project employs MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) treatment technology utilizing flat-sheet ceramic membranes for rural wastewater treatment in Serbia.

Application: Municipal wastewater treatment facility

Location: Serbia

Treatment Process

  • MBR technology with submerged flat-sheet ceramic membranes

  • Ceramic membrane flux: 35 L/m².h

  • Total membrane area: 150 m²

Project Scope & Services

Engineering Package: Complete solution including:

  • Process design and engineering

  • Equipment supply and procurement

  • Installation and commissioning

  • System startup and operator training

Process Solution

The integrated treatment system combines the A²O biological nutrient removal process with advanced flat-sheet ceramic membrane bioreactor technology. This configuration provides enhanced biological treatment for nitrogen and phosphorus removal, followed by ceramic membrane solid-liquid separation to achieve superior effluent quality suitable for direct discharge.

Design Performance Standards

Regulatory Compliance: Meets National Standard for Pollutant Discharge from Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plants (GB18918-2002) - Grade 1A Standard.

Project Benefits & Outcomes

Environmental Compliance: Achieves stringent discharge standards for direct environmental release

Advanced Treatment: Ceramic MBR technology ensures consistent high-quality effluent regardless of influent variations

Operational Reliability: Robust ceramic membranes provide long-term stable performance with minimal maintenance requirements

Nutrient Removal: Effective removal of organic matter, suspended solids, nitrogen, and phosphorus compounds
